Veteran’s Program
The number of disabled and wounded military veterans has greatly increased due to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Many members of the military return from active duty with paralysis, traumatic brain injuries and amputations due to injuries sustained in combat. These veterans seek to improve their quality of life and participate in outdoor activities with their family and friends, despite their disability.
The primary goal of the Vet’s Program is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle and a positive outlook on life for wounded or disabled service men and women. Since its inception, participation in Ignite’s program has more than doubled.
Ignite will grant scholarship funding to military personnel who participate in the Veteran’s Program. This will ensure that our activities are financially accessible to all interested participants from the military, regardless of their economic situation.
We currently work with Cheyenne and Denver VA Hospitals.
Ignite Adaptive Sports’ Veterans Program is a program supported by the U.S. Paralympics, the Christopher Reeve Foundation and the The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation
